Building Your House for eternity

PROVERBS 24:3-5

Through wisdom, a house is built. And by understanding, it is established;

 By knowledge, the rooms are filled With all precious and pleasant riches.

 A wise man is strong, Yes, a man of knowledge increases strength

Building a house requires many steps. We need money for the purchase of the land and often a mortgage is necessary. Prospective homeowners must meet the requirements to be considered for the loan. A dream home requires an excellent design and a good contractor. The most important aspect of a building is a sound foundation. Missing these steps can become devastating to the owner.

Like a good foundation, Christians need godly wisdom to build their spiritual house. We need the Holy Spirit Spirit to give us an understanding of God. We are as strong as our daily connection with Him. Christians must fill the room of their heart with the precious word of God, which is true riches.

God’s word gives us wisdom and prepares us for any attacks from the enemy who wants to destroy our foundation. When we strengthen our foundation in Christ, He honors us by sending Holy Angels to ward off those demonic attacks. Just as we go through the trouble and expense of building a physical house, we have a spiritual house that needs the same priority.

Let’s invest in our spiritual home while we wait for eternity!
